Written by Emily Napier Thursday, 15 March 2012
A consumer group has filed a lawsuit against eight drugmakers that offer coupons for hundreds of brand-name prescription drugs. These coupons make the prescriptions appear to save patients money but actually increases health care costs and the courts will determine if the coupons violate federal bribery laws.
The consumer group, Community Catalyst, argues the coupons are meant the conceal information about the payments for medications from health insurance plans and employers. In general, the coupons do conceal the payment information.

I Recommend $101,000 Of Life Insurance!
Written by Emily Napier Wednesday, 7 March 2012
There is an application process in the life insurance industry called Telelife. Its only offered by a few companies. It was first put in place about 15 years ago by the then Federal Kemper Life. At the time I worked for Eterm.com and we were told to use the process unless the case involved severe impairments.
It consisted of a quick interview by an agent on the phone. At the completion of that interview you were given a quote and then transferred to Kempers telelife interview team where they took all the information for an application and preset an exam for you. All total you were on the phone about 25 minutes and I would be remiss if I characterized this process as anything but slamming.

Shed Those Extra Pounds With The Advice In This Article!
Written by Emily Napier Sunday, 26 February 2012
Dont eat anything less than three hours before going to sleep, and if you do eat a meal later in the evening, keep it light on carbs. Your last meal will help you to stay nourished through the night.
The natural process in the body is to store fat when meals are missed. This can cause difficulty in burning calories. If you cannot eat a certain meal, try to take a healthy snack. A nice handful of mixed nuts is a nutritious snack and better than not eating anything.
Make sure you consume a tall glass of h20 before you eat meals. It becomes easy to overindulge when you are hungry because your brain doesnt realize your belly is full until after youve already eaten.
Taking a nice run on the beach is a wonderful workout that will help you achieve weight loss.

Why is group health insurance expensive for small businesses?
The cost of small business health insurance is dependent on a number of factors including:
- Overall size of the company. The smaller the company, typically, the more health insurance costs will be due to the fact that the risk is spread over a small number of people. Large companies have better rates because there are more insured individuals, spreading the risk.

Written by Emily Napier Saturday, 11 February 2012
Its no secret that by far the majority of my non private pilot clients have been declined for life insurance before they came to me. There is just something about being declined that is personal, a little humiliating, maybe scary and really ticks people off. What do you mean Im not insurable?
I had an interesting client call over the weekend. Physically or medically speaking he is a perfect specimen but hes had some issues over the years with anxiety. According to him he is much more well controlled now that he is on medication. He also sees a psychiatrist. He had applied for life insurance through a broker he knew who represented Guardian Life and was declined.
